Strategic Doing in Healthcare – Practitioner Training & Certification
April 19 @ 9:00 am - April 21 @ 2:30 pm$1975
Healthcare has never been more complex. Successfully leading hospitals and healthcare systems, health-related organizations, and attempting to tackle public and community health issues requires designing and guiding complex collaborations, among diverse stakeholders, toward shared outcomes. In this Strategic Doing™ in Healthcare training, you’ll learn a different way of thinking, behaving, and working together, how to innovate in open networks, and how to get significant productivity gains through shared leadership and collective action.
This special, customized version of the highly successful Strategic Doing™ training is the result of a partnership of the Purdue Agile Strategy Lab, Purdue Healthcare Advisors, and the Organizational Leadership program in the Purdue Polytechnic Institute’s Department of Technology Leadership and Innovation.
Throughout the training you’ll be learning Strategic Doing™ by doing it as well as having plenty of time for unpacking why it works so you can make it your own. During the last session, you’ll have time to consider how to start using Strategic Doing™ to approach your own challenges, and get assistance from the instructors as well as your peers. Participants receive a copy of the book Strategic Doing: Ten Skills for Agile Leadership (Wiley, 2019), the Strategic Doing Field Guide as well as access to an online library of resources.
Upon completion you’ll be a Strategic Doing™ “practitioner,” able to lead a group in tackling collaborative undertaking using Strategic Doing™. If you choose, you can follow up the training by completing the requirements to become a Certified Workshop Leader. Certification involves documenting an implementation of your new skills and creating a portfolio of documents about the experience. You’ll be able to access an experienced coach to help you get your new approach off the ground successfully. Certified Workshop Leaders are listed in the Strategic Doing™ website’s directory, and have access to a broader range of library resources to help them in their work.
Your lead instructor for this course will be Scott Hutcheson, PhD. Scott is co-author of the Strategic Doing™ book, co-founder of the Purdue Agile Strategy Lab, and a Senior Lecturer of Organizational Leadership program at Purdue. Scott has taught Strategic Doing™ to thousands of learners on several continents and has had learners from over 140 countries participate in his courses and workshops. Joining Scott will be Darshini Render, assisting with the instruction. Darshini is an experienced Strategic Doing practitioner and a Fellow Candidate of the Strategic Doing Institute.
