Strategic Doing: Leading Complex Collaborations,

In this 2.5 day training, you’ll learn everything you need to know to begin thinking differently about collaboration, how to help groups have different – and more productive – kinds of conversations, and how to make sure that conversation turns into action.
We use a simulation for the first two days of the training – you’ll be learning Strategic Doing by doing it – as well as plenty of time for unpacking why it works so you can make it your own. On the last half-day, you’ll have time to consider how to start using Strategic Doing to approach your own challenges, and get assistance from the instructors as well as your peers. Participants receive a copy of the book: Strategic Doing: Ten Skills for Agile Leadership (Wiley, 2019), a workbook, as well as access to an online library of resources.
You’ll be a Strategic Doing “practitioner” after this training, able to lead a group in tackling collaborative undertaking using Strategic Doing. You can follow up the training by completing the requirements to become a Certified Workshop Leader. Certification involves documenting an implementation of your new skills and creating a portfolio of documents about the experience. You’ll be able to access an experienced “coach” to help you get your new approach off the ground successfully. Certified Workshop Leaders are listed in the Strategic Doing website’s directory, and have access to a broader range of library resources to help them in their work.
Because we need to reserve instructor time and facilities far in advance of the training, the following cancellation policy applies to your registration:
0-2 weeks in advance – we’re not able to offer a refund, but we can give you credit for another 301 that’s offered by the Purdue Agile Strategy Lab – in general, this includes all trainings for which you register through Purdue and are making an individual payment (rather than being part of a group registration) – for any questions, email email@example.com. You can also choose to transfer your registration to a colleague.
One month in advance – 50% refund, or credit as described above
Two months in advance – 100% refund
The Agile Strategy Lab may occasionally find it necessary to cancel a workshop due to low registration numbers. Registrations are dependent on having a minimum number of people to cover the costs of the workshop. IF the need to cancel a workshop should arise we will notify you at least 2 weeks prior. If you are traveling to the workshop, please feel free to check in with us prior to finalizing your travel arrangements. If we cancel the workshop due to low enrollment, we will transfer your registration to an open Agile Strategy Lab workshop or issue you a full refund.
