Third Thursday: January 2022
January 20, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Third Thursdays are a monthly gathering open to anyone interested in Strategic Doing. Topics vary monthly (and we’re always open to suggestions); the session is one hour long and usually includes a short presentation, time for Q&A or breakout group work, and updates on upcoming trainings and new resources available through the website. Registration is required. (Note: for those seeking re-certification as SD workshop leaders, Third Thursdays help fulfill your re-certification requirements).
The topic for this session will be: The Science of Team Science and Its Connections to Strategic Doing
As researchers strive to solve increasingly complex or “wicked” problems, e.g., climate change, poverty, pandemic preparedness, etc., federal funding agencies are challenging the research and creative expression community to build effective cross-disciplinary teams which produce impactful outcomes. This team of practitioners/scholars will share what “the science of team science” means to them, how to build more productive teams, and engage our community and industry partners through Strategic Doing.
Speakers:
Jeff Agnoli, The Ohio State University
Edgar Cardenas, Michigan State University
Sarah James, AtKisson Training Group
Anne Herberger Marino, Lean-to Collaborations
