Troy Mix is an Associate Director and Policy Scientist with the University of Delaware’s Institute for Public Administration (IPA). Troy leads IPA’s Regional Development and Planning Team, which works with communities, individuals, and organizations seeking to shape the future of places they care about. His work focuses on the delivery of data-driven research and analysis, strategic planning, and training services to support the economic development efforts of governments, business groups, and community stakeholders across Delaware and the mid-Atlantic region. Troy’s recent work includes developing an action plan for a reorganized state economic development agency; conducting spatial analyses of demographic and development conditions; and convening a rural broadband initiative. Troy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and a Ph.D. candidate in Regional Planning at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Delaware and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
