Philip Parker, PhD, PE, is an Associate Dean in the College of Engineering, Mathematics, and Science and is a faculty member of Environmental Engineering at UW-Platteville. In his Associate Dean role, he guides a variety of new initiatives, including leading continuous improvement efforts; overseeing online offerings; nurturing a program (STEMStart) to offer dual-credit engineering course to rural high schools; and coordinating the College’s efforts in the planning, design, and construction of Sesquicentennial Hall, a $55M, 100,000 SF engineering facility slated to open in the Fall 2022 semester. In the latter role, he has gained extensive experience in facilitating groups of faculty and staff, and has had success in guiding these groups to consensus on potentially contentious topics (e.g. sharing of space between programs and departments). He has applied Strategic Doing to corporate outreach efforts, internal curriculum design efforts, and in working with external advisory board groups
