Lockheed Project (Condition-Based Maintenance)

Purdue’s Agile Strategy Lab assisted Lockheed in developing a technology roadmap for the U.S. Navy’s Aegis destroyer fleet. The Purdue team employed Strategic Doing to engage smaller technology companies with expertise in machine learning, sensors, and augmented reality, which Lockheed lacked internally. A series of workshops quickly led to the development of an initial roadmap, demonstrating the approach’s effectiveness in complex corporate settings and open innovation.
